The taxi journey to JFK airport was interesting to say the least. Firstly, we got our bags in the taxi and then a knock at the window as we were in someone elses cab - after a bit of discussion the two ladies jumped in another cab. Then as we got round the corner, the taxi driver said "so the fare is $95" - we said "nope, we were told by the hotel $65"....he then got shirty and threatened to take us back to the hotel, but as time was getting on we were a tad concerned. So I offered him an extra $10, even if he was trying it on....he reluctantly agreed to this and carried on to the airport....
....he finally relaxed and stopped whinging and became a bit more chatty - but then the moron drove over two large sacks of rubbish in the road. I saw them but he just ignored them, and guess what they got stuck under the car...meaning we had to stop and remove them from the tyres!!! Weirdo...the traffic and rain was a nightmare but we made it with plenty of time!!
So the four of us split in two - with Lindsey and myself boarding earlier to the Premium Economy cabin. We felt really bad as we sipped Champers as Nat and Solange walked back to cattle class (honest!!!) :-)

This was my first time in Premium and it was just lovely - great seat pitch, joyous legroom and the crew were lovely. And New York to Heathrow is only 5.5 hours....saw a great film called Divergent, a sort of Hunger Games themed film. Thank you Melissa for that recommendation and she will be proud as I went for the vegetarian option for dinner - Aubergine (eggplant 🐣).....when I see Sag Paneer on the menu just gotta have it, such a delicious Indian dish!!!!! And it was soooooo good!!
Sorry guys we brought the vile New York rain back with us. When I got in though, number 5 Jackwood was a sunny delight - look what Mr Treloar did for me, I kept finding little 40th treasures in unexpected places!!!! Also Kylie was very keen to keep the party going!!!
Work tomorrow........noooooooooooooo!!!!!
